English muffins make fantastic bread crumbs with loads of flavour. Just grate them or process in your food processor. You can store them in the freezer and use them from frozen too.
Use leftover nuts instead of croutons in your salad. Try using walnuts, pecans or almonds. This works best with a green salad (ie. no tomatoes). The nuts taste delicious and are more nutritious than croutons.
Add a couple of tablespoons of pesto to spaghetti sauce to add a bit of zing. This works equally well in a vegetarian or meat sauce.
